Dr. J. S. Yadav, Professor and former Director of the premier national institute, Indian Institute of Mass Communication is the mentor of CMF. He brings to CMF 40 years’ experience of research, teaching and training in communication and development sector covering health, education, gender equity issues and challenges.
Dr. Yadav has extensive experience in advocacy, campaign design and capacity building for social behavior change communication (SBCC). He planned and conducted several national and international orientation and skill development workshops for media and development professionals. He has designed IEC strategy and media action plan, and developed prototype of media materials for communication/media/social marketing campaigns for many development programs/ projects.
Dr. Yadav has been working as mentor for CMF and has handled many projects sported by bilateral and multilateral organizations like UNICEF, World Bank, ADB, WHO, USAID, EU and many department / Ministries of the Central and the State Governments.
Since 2007 he is also a member of Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of IAPPD - Indian Association of Parliamentarians for Population and Development- for Advocacy & Sensitization of the Elected Representatives (ERs) on Population, health and development issues.
He conducted / coordinated over 150 national/ international research projects and has published six books, over 150 articles in professional journals and popular newspapers /magazines.
He has PH.D in Social Anthropology from Delhi University and Advance course in Communication Policy and Planning UNESCO/AIBD.
Dr. Suneeta Mukerjee

As Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Dr.Suneeta Mukherjee served Himachal Pradesh and Government of India before joining United Nations in 1995 in many senior positions and handled several social development projects in India and other developing countries.
She has worked as UNFPA representative in Sri Lanka and Maldives (1995-2000), in Bangladesh (2000 - 2006) and in Philippines (2006 -2010). She drafted the SAARC youth charter recently and is working as a part-time consultant after retirement in Gender, Youth and RH.
Dr Jai. P. Narain
Senior Epidemiologist & Public Health Expert
Dr. Jai P.Narain worked over 30 years with WHO; Director, Department of Communicable Diseases at WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia, New Delhi from 2004-10 and Director of Sustainable Development and Healthy Environments (2010-12) and Regional Adviser and Team Leader, for HIV/AIDS and TB from (1992-2004). He coordinated WHO’s global TB/HIV research program in WHO HQ in Geneva (1990-92) and was head of Sexually transmitted Diseases including HIV in WHO/Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), based at the Caribbean Epidemiology Center (1988-90).
Dr.Narain was Senior Advisor to the Government of India on Epidemiology and EIS (Epidemic Intelligence Service). He has broad experience and expertise in public health area and has advised and provided technical support to countries in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
Dr.Narain obtained his MBBS and MD degrees from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and MPH and combined Masters in Epidemiology and Tropical Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston.

Dr.Deepak Gupta is an accomplished UN professional with over 29 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing Country Programmes, Regional Campaigns, C4D Interventions, formulating Strategies, especially SBCC, Advocacy & Social Inclusion. It includes gender equity & equality and political advocacy for Development/Health interventions. Substantive focus in Mr. Gupta’s work has been on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Adolescents SRH, Youth and HIV/AIDS, Maternal & Neo-natal Health; Gender based Violence and Population Policy.
He has worked with various United Nations agencies such as UNFPA, UNODC, UNICEF and WHO as a Programme & Strategic Communication (C4D & Advocacy) Adviser.Dr. Gupta coordinated GFATM operations and managed Strategic Health Communication in the SEA region, with a strategic focus on HIV/AIDS, TB & Malaria with emphasis on social & gender equity.

Poornima has also worked, as National Training Coordinator, with Futures Group International India Pvt. Ltd., in the first ever GFATM funded project on training of nurses on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. She liaisioned with senior officials at M/o Health & Family Welfare, Indian Nursing Council (INC) and faculty at various nursing colleges, for the successful implementation of the training, across India. She was also involved in the development of training curriculum on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis, Supportive Supervision plan, Monitoring & Evaluation tools as well as coordinated several Need Assessment, Impact Evaluation Studies.
